All park residents are encouraged to come to the quarterly meeting of the MHA to learn more about the city's purchase of our park and the steps we need to take to purchase the land from the city.
During the first hour, City of Boulder Housing Division Director Cindy Pieropan will speak with us and answer questions.
In the second hour, MHA members will discuss the resident buy-out of the park and other issues of concern, such as the Goose Creek floodway. Please make every effort to attend ! You need to stay informed about what is happening to YOUR park, and the Association needs your input in the decision making process.

Exec speaks out
By Mark Reeder
To others purchasing our land may seem a daunting task, an insurmountable barrier to the good, quiet life. But I have seen, first hand, the residents of Mapleton Park come together for the sole purpose of supporting this dream of land ownership and I know that we can through the strength of our spirits, the courage of our hearts, and the unbending faith in our selves secure the blessings of home ownership for everyone living in Mapleton Park. Yes it will take hard work on our part. But what is the hard work of a year compared to a lifetime of security.
While the process to land ownership is involved, the steps necessary are simple and have been laid out and followed by other groups like ours. We have already completed the most essential step of all. We have formed an association for the purpose of buying the land our homes sit on.
Now we have to let the city know that we are ready, willing and able to purchase, maintain, and manage Mapleton Park. This means working with the city appointed management company and learning how to run a home owners association and manage 138 units as diverse as Mapleton Park is. It means qualifying for a loan to purchase the land. And it means setting up a fund for a down payment.
In the end, because of our strength of will and our perseverance, we shall succeed.
Never have any doubt. We can do this. We will.
